Harlan Pollock,
MD, FACS
|
"In forty years of surgical practice, I
have continuously enjoyed a specialty that demands technical precision,
surgical judgment, an understanding of psychology, while rewarding a sense
of creativity. |
And as with all facets of medicine, but especially due to the
elective nature of plastic surgery, our patients deserve a higher standard
of medical ethics. These are the attributes that I strive to achieve each day.
However, my greatest pride is in Todd, my son and associate, as I observe his
expertise, creativity, caring and ethics.
"Our practice has always been scientifically based and has
added new technology and techniques only after these methods have been proven
to be both safe and effective for our patients.
"Thru the years, I have seen new plastic surgery technologies
and surgical fads marketed to consumers before they have been adequately researched
only to be abandoned after yielding disappointing results.
"While I am in favor of any new procedure that is safe, effective,
and has been shown to be an improvement over existing methods, I have been
unwilling to adopt 'new' methods simply because they are in demand and profitable.
This approach has not let me or my patients down.Additionally, this
scientific approach applies to new procedures that we have published
and presented only after we have the data that proves the safety and efficacy
of the technique. "
"Our practice emphasizes our patient’s dignity,
safety, and satisfaction."
